Shopping for Bags

Many women could never get enough of handbags no matter how many they have in their closet. However, finding the perfect match for clothes, shoes, and other accessories could be a daunting task for most ladies. But there is no challenge big enough that a full-fledged “fashionista” could not handle.

Before buying, consider first the kind of clothes that you have in your closet, whether dressy, casual, classic, or trendy. Also, take into account whether what you have are patterned or simply plain coloured. Of course, you also have to take note of the occasion you are attending.

Next in line is choosing the right colours. If you would be wearing an outfit in neutral tones, it would be a good idea to pick something bright so that you could add some punch to your overall outfit. On the other hand, if you would be wearing something bright and vivid, tone down your look by buying a purse in basic colours, such as brown or black. It is not absolutely necessary for your handbags to exactly match your clothes. What is important is that you ensure that they complement each other.

When it comes to the size, purchase something that is proportional to your body and outfit. Although a huge one may look stylish by itself, you risk looking awful with it if you are wearing a pretty sundress. Conversely, never sacrifice utility for style regardless of how chic that clutch bag may look.

Finally, always mind the length when purchasing a handbag. Make sure that you get one that hits a flattering part of your body, since these items could add bulk to your frame. Women who have large hips should look for something that stops at the waist so that attention could be drawn upward. Meanwhile, girls who are thick on the waist should have bags that have longer straps.
